Description
Our "Groove Collection" melds a modern aesthetic and traditional Berber influences and Turkish weaving skills. These rugs have a plush look which comes from the use of hand spun yarns. Tribal rugs often use zero die instead rely on the natural variation in wool to create unique palettes and designs. The Groove Collection plays with both a natural palette and striking color.
Each rug is made up of two colors. A monochromatic bottom layer is woven and then a second monochromatic top layer is knotted in. The weaver knots the top layer skipping every other row leaving grooves in the surface. The base color beautifully shows through. This process creates a rug that can both anchor a room yet have incredible texture.
